About Le Domaine de la Corniche

Located between the well-known beach towns of Cabourg and Deauville, Le Domaine de la Corniche makes a great base for exploring beautiful Normandy. The residence has a heated outdoor pool (with an optional overhead shelter, open from April to September depending on the weather). There are also various wellness facilities, including a hammam, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a fitness room (only accessible to guests 18 and over, reservation required). On the grounds of the residence you will also find athletic fields, a boules court and a playground. You can also hire bikes to explore the surrounding area. During the high season (July and August) there is a mini club for kids 4 to 12, with a recreation team and activities such as a pyjama party evening. Various activities are also organised for youths during French school holidays. The closest beach is 4 km from the residence in the town of Houlgate. In addition to the beautiful sandy beaches, the rugged cliffs add variety to the views. Besides its great seaside location, the beach resort of Cabourg (8.5 km) is also a charming village with lovely belle epoque architecture. There are various gardens to visit and you will find the longest pedestrian promenades in Europe here! The beach town of Deauville (10 km), known for its casino (the 4th in France), is also worth a visit. The harbour town of Honfleur (30 km) is a picturesque destination that has been largely influenced by impressionist painters. The town is situated close to the impressive Pont de Normandie, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. And how about a visit to Caen (42 km), the regional capital? The city of Le Havre (54 km) has the second busiest harbour in France, after Marseille. The city centre was completely destroyed during the Second World War. It was rebuilt after the war and is now registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list. And don't forget Etretat (74 km)! This beach resort is known for its impressive chalkstone cliffs, which have been sculpted into the loveliest shapes by the water over the years. Of course, along the entire Normandy coast you will find many sights associated with the Second World War. But there is plenty to see inland as well, such as the city of Rouen (102 km), the historic capital of Normandy, and Paris (207 km) of course.
