About Roompot Landgoed Het Grote Zand

Roompot Landgoed Het Grote Zand is situated on a beautiful 35 hectare estate in the heart of Drenthe. The park is on the edge of a protected nature reserve and just 1km from the village of Hooghalen. This fantastic location is the ideal base from which to explore Drenthe, enjoy the various hiking and cycling routes and make the most of the attractions in the area.

The park has several facilities to offer its guests including an indoor swimming pool which is perfect for any weather. If you are looking for a more relaxing experience then you can take advantage of the sauna. To explore the beautiful surroundings, you can simply rent a bike and enjoy a family day out cycling. You can also hire go-karts for an exciting experience with your loved ones. A laundry service is available if you are ever in the need to wash some clothes.

In the immediate vicinity you will find no less than 4 nature reserves, including the Het Grote Zand, Het Witte Zand, Het Heuvinger Zand and Het Noorder- en Hijkerveld, with miles of cycling and hiking paths. You can surprise the kids with a day trip to Kabouterland (28km) which is a unique experience with gnomes, trolls, and animals in an entertaining park.

Groups
When you would like to stay at the holiday park with a group, it is necessary to let the park know beforehand. The holiday park can either decline the booking or charge a higher deposit.
Opening times restaurant
From November 6, 2018 through March 31, 2019, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays.
Business related travelers
It is not allowed to make bookings other than for recreational purposes. For business related stays you can contact Roompot Business. Bookings that are still made by companies will be refused entry to the holiday park upon arrival.
10-person group accommodation F Sauna

Het zwembad is veel te klein voor het aantal bezoekers dit leid tot onhygiënische toestanden.

Geweldig uitgangspunt voor fiets- en wandeltochten. Mooie, goed verzorgde huizen. Makkelijk te bereiken, dicht bij snelweg.

Snelweg goed hoorbaar en op racedagen ook TT-circuit Assen.

De ligging vlak bij centrum, waardoor je tegen de achterkant van snackbar en fietsenstalling aankeek.

Een mooi opgezet park in het bos en je loopt zo de hei op vanuit het park

Een klein minpuntje is het slechte bereik van telefoon en internet. Maar ja 1 weekje is te overzien.

En heerlijk ruim huisje en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Klein minpuntje was dat ons huis vrijwel onder hoge bomen stond dus weinig zon.

Bungalow is mooi en ruimtelijk ingedeeld met 2 toiletten in
aparte toiletruimte.
Mooie stoelen bij de eettafel etc.
Buiten is de bungalow er omheen mooi bestraat.

Geen klokje in woonkamer en zitkussentjes voor tuinstoelen
waren er niet.
Staande schemerlampen zouden in kwaliteit beter kunnen zijn.

If the park does charge change fees, the costs will always be discussed with you.

Any booking made can be cancelled using a link provided in the confirmation email. If you no longer have the confirmation email, please contact our Service Desk by calling +31 23-3024901 (10 cents p/m).

Please note: in most cases, the holiday park will charge a cancellation fee, and the amount of this fee will depend on how late you cancel the booking.
