Camping Vreehorst is a campsite located in the Achterhoek. Discover the most beautiful cycling and walking routes through the Winterswijk National Landscape and enjoy the facilities at the campsite.

Facilities of Vreehorst Camp Site

During your stay, you can make use of various recreational facilities. Relax in the Finnish sauna, play a ball game on the sports field or hire an e-bike to explore the Winterswijk countryside. Take a dip in the heated indoor pool, which is open all year round. In warmer weather, relax on the sun beds by the outdoor pool with water slide. The Mini-Shop is open daily for fresh bread rolls, coffee-to-go and a small range of groceries. The Food Corner is also open from April to October.

Children's facilities at Camping Vreehorst

Children can have endless fun on the large playing field. This includes the bouncy castle and the pumptrack track. All day long, children can romp around in the campsite's swimming pools. Both the indoor and outdoor pools have separate toddler pools. During the official Dutch school holidays (autumn holidays excluded) an entertainment programme is offered for children up to about 12 years of age. Here they can take part in various sports and game activities, including: crafts, children's disco, treasure hunts and disco swimming.

Restaurant Camping Vreehorst

After a day at the pool or exploring the surroundings, you can take a carefree seat at the Food Corner terrace. During the summer season (April to October), this is the place to go for fresh chips, a delicious oven-baked pizza and a refreshing drink and snack. There is also a Mini-Shop where you can buy fresh rolls, coffee to-go and a small range of groceries every day.

Surroundings of Camping Vreehorst

Visit the Villa Mondriaan museum or stroll around Winterswijk's lively weekly market and stop for a bite to eat and a drink on one of the terraces in the picturesque town centre of Winterswijk. Get inspired at the information screen at the campsite and discover the many routes through the versatile nature of Winterswijk. From the campsite you can walk straight into the Bekendelle forest, one of Winterswijk's most beautiful nature reserves.

Neat and clean.

Areas for improvement:
Not really a minus point, but it would be nice to be able to dim the spotlights in the ceiling, as you now sit in the full glare at night.

Positive experience:
I had emailed that we might not arrive until after 8pm or even 10pm (after reception closed). Very quickly had a reply that this was not a problem and that the key to our chalet would be kept in a safe place for us. The staff were also very friendly with all questions!

Improvements:
No cons.
