Located between Nantes and La Rochelle in Olonne sur Mer, Les Grands Rochers residence welcomes you to a setting that combines dunes with long sandy beaches, salt marshes and state forests. Access to the beach is easy on foot or by bike, thanks to a footpath and cycle path.
The whole family will enjoy the residence's aquatic area, which includes a heated indoor pool, a heated outdoor pool, a waterslide and a paddling pool.

Brilliant family holiday!

The accommodation was a steal for the price. The pizzas made on site were great! The staff were great and the swimming pool was a great hit. The beach was beautiful! I was pleased to have a car to get around and found we had so much to do! A very happy family with tones of great memories to keep for... life!

Stayed for nearly one week over Easter 2024

Stayed in B26 for what was meant to be for 7 nights, but had to be 6, as the public transport locally is pretty nonexistent and we simply couldn't get back to La Rochelle Airport in time for our early morning flight back to Dublin, so had to check out early and stay in a hotel near the airport to make... it.
The locality is better suited a car user, as there is nothing onsite or in the area really. The nearest supermarket and petrol station is about a 60 minutes walk away via the canal and wetlands footpath. There is nothing in the village center, the nearest town was a 90 mins walk away via the canal footpath.
As for the site itself, there isn't much available for tourists to be honest. Broken gym equipment, no shop, no entertainment, etc. Accommodation is cheap and cheerful, but they really need a better housekeeper and cleaner, as there was dust, cobwebs everywhere. I had to clean the place myself!
In a nutshell, ok for a cheap out of season stay, but you need a car to get around. Even the beach was a 90 mins walk away. We didn't have a car, so struggled and the weather was terrible during our stay. Never again!

We found that this was an absolutely Fantastic Place to be based. I couldn't fault the complex (You will be aware before travelling that there is no shop or bar onsite).
Staff are the best ever (especially Ben), so helpful and have a perfect understanding of English!!
It was very quiet in June, which... suited our needs and you would really need a car or bike to explore the area further.
The accommodation, whilst not modern, is fine and very clean, it has everything you would need in my opinion.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks here with my husband and our 11 year old daughter. The site was lovely and quiet, with fabulous warm swimming pools, plenty of sun loungers, free WiFi zone, very friendly staff.
The accomodation was perfectly adequate for our needs, bed was comfy! Main living area was lovely and... cool in the hot weather, but the bedroom was quite hot at night and a ceiling fan would help.
There were lovely beaches nearby, 5-10 km away, plus 2 good supermarkets also 5km away.
The staff on site were very friendly and helpful.
The whole holiday was booked through Brittany Ferries.
Disappointing - it is my view the apartment was tired, unkempt and lacked cleanliness.

In my personal experience I would not recommend this residence, it was expensive for an apartment which was unkempt and most uncomfortable.
- plates were cracked, mugs were discolored and dirty
- Sofa bed required to be replaced/worn
- kitchen and bathroom were unkempt and required professional cleaning.
-... terrace furniture was dirty.
- floors required professional cleaning.
- the air conditioning was switched off.
- blankets/pillows were on a shelf in a wardrobe with brushes and cleaning equipment - dusty and untidy, not great for hanging clothes.
- requested a move to another apartment, no difference
- the check out process was slow.
- checked out early
