The Kanopée Village campsite awaits you in a green and natural setting on the banks of the river for a truly relaxing family holiday. (RIVER CLOSED BY MUNICIPAL DECREE)
During the summer school holidays, occasional activities will be offered to children (creative workshops: nest box making, canoe initiation...), and to older children: pétanque tournaments, bingo, bike rides.) Direct access to the river and the lake will delight fishing enthusiasts!

Absolutely lovely site with large pitches and clean facilities. Right on the river with lovely path in to the shall town.
When we were there the on-site restaurant wasn’t open as it was out of season, and we did find that as it was a Monday there wasn’t many options in the town, but we would still... go back!
We were in a motor home, but the lodges looked lovely with views over the river .
No Swimming Pool!

Do not be misled by pictures on the internet as we were. The Pool closed several years ago - very disappointed to learn this after we arrived.
The location next to the river is picturesque and it’s only a short walk into Trévoux, but when you get there you will discover that most of the businesses... there are permanently closed, so really there is nothing to do locally.
Nice stop over and perhaps longer for touring.

Lovely peaceful site a walk into TRÉVOUX next to River . Sanitary blocks very modern and clean . Need to take own paper. Reception friendly and easy to pre book. Reasonable price. Flat airy and shaded /sunny pitches with nice open views . Would revisit .

Lovely little town a short walk from the site. The site is excellent, the facilities were clean and well maintained, it’s a site we return to and recommend to friends.
We had a two night stay but would happily spend longer at this location, we pitched facing the river which was lovely.

Worst experience for years on the road.

Owners trying to catch our guests at every opportunity. When we booked we were excited by the lovely photos on the website and booking.com of the mobile homes. When we arrived we realised it was all a facade. I highly recommend against staying here. A few of the issues:
- zero basic amenities - no dishwasher... tablet, no toilet roll, no washing utensils for kitchen, no bin bags. Nothing at all. You must buy everything at the campsite shop which over charges by many times.
- no aircon - we knew about this but we didn’t realise they didn’t even provide fans (it was 35 degrees).
- €33 euros to rent 2 towels - for one night! Unbelievable and the added insult that the towel is the size of a kids towel.
- hugely over priced - we paid €260, plus a €100 security deposit plus the towel and bed sheet rental so it was basically €320 - that’s the same as a 5 star hotel that is about a 5 minute drive away!
- cleaning - when we checked out we asked about the security deposit. We were told WE had to clean the entire mobile home, floors, windows, basins, showers, toilets - but there were no cleaning products, no clothes and no brush!
In short it’s one of the worst stays we have ever had and the deep insult to be charged €260, to be completely mis-sold, to be caught out by the owners at every single opportunity to make money. If you’re caravaning then maybe I get it - you always bring your own stuff. But when you’re driving, stopping over one night or two, when on earth you would have any of these items, why you would even consider (in hindsight) stopping here is beyond me!
I would avoid completely.
