Camping Le Parc des Roches ^★★★

Lush green surroundings – Swimming pool – Children’s playground. The signage for the exit isn’t clear enough. It would be a good idea to put a mirror in the bends, as you can’t see children approaching at high speed on their bikes on the main road. TOO MUCH EQUIPMENT IS BEING STOLEN FROM THE MOBILE HOME: e.g. just 1 fire-resistant children’s blanket for 6 people!!! 2 teaspoons... CARRY OUT INVENTORIES ON ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TO AVOID THESE INCONVENIENCES.

An old-fashioned campsite. The tables by the boules court are in poor condition. The swimming pool liner is poorly fitted, with the drains and suction points dirty. The ground around the pool is damaged; it’s uncomfortable to walk on and burns your feet. The toilets next to the pool are very dirty. Security is non-existent – they’ve put water polo goals right by the entrance, where everyone has to pass through, so there’s a risk of being hit by a ball or jostled by the players. It’s a decent activity to offer, but not when the pool is packed with families. The restaurant is very expensive for what’s on offer. The paths are very narrow for cars and poorly maintained. The lights are left on all night. The doors in the mobile home creak. However, the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Given the size of the campsite, a second swimming pool would be needed, as well as more sun loungers. A special mention for the chef – he was excellent.

Nothing special, a decent campsite, apart from at night – the noise from the young people around 1 am is unbearable

The welcome was friendly, but after several requests… The basin had a hole in it, so it was unusable. No chopping board. One of the decking boards had come loose and was full of nails – and as I was there with my two young grandchildren, it was very dangerous… It’s still in the same place, even though the receptionist had noted it down!!! On the day I arrived, I also booked an appointment for the end-of-stay inspection 15 days later, but unfortunately… they couldn’t find my booking!!! It was a hassle having to wait ages to speak to someone… The activity leaders aren’t really there to run activities, apart from Yohann. The Kids’ Club is more like a nursery, so there’s not really much to keep the children entertained. My grandchildren weren’t interested; they got bored, so it wasn’t great. Otherwise, the campsite, set in the heart of nature, is lovely and the price is reasonable. The entertainment at the Kids’ Club needs improving.
