There's a lovely little open-air swimming pool of around 300 m², with two pools of varying depths to suit all tastes: swimming a few lengths or simply cooling off on a hot summer's day. After the pool session, the solarium area awaits you with its deckchairs in the shade of straw hut parasols. Meanwhile, the little ones can have fun in complete safety in the aqualudic play area, which is totally dedicated to them, with a slide and water games. Dates and opening times of the outdoor swimming pool : - From 10am to 8pm Open from 15/06 to 15/09, subject to good weather conditions, as it is heated solely by the sun's rays. NB: Only short swimming costumes, bikinis, 1-piece swimming costumes and short-sleeved lycra t-shirts with UV protection are permitted. Clothing restrictions in the pool except Lycra. Lifeguard on duty from 06/07 to 28/08. And don't forget that the campsite offers direct access to Lac de Saint-Brice via a small footpath surrounded by pines and oaks for those who want to enjoy the Arcachon Basin. The ocean is also close by, with the Grand Crohot beach just a few kilometres away, offering a host of water sports activities and sand castles for all the family! During the low season, the campsite favours peace and quiet.
During the summer holidays, from 06/07 to 28/08, the pace quickens with the presence of a dynamic entertainment team offering activities for all ages and tastes.
Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the regularly scheduled tournaments: archery, pétanque, volleyball or football. Aquafun and fitness activities will also get your muscles moving!
In the evenings, there's a night market once a week (July/August only), dance evenings, themed evenings, karaoke evenings, dinner shows, bingo evenings and film evenings. At the height of summer (July/August only), 2 evening pool parties are organised each week.
Children's Club (5 to 12 years): open from 06/07 to 28/08, 5 days a week: a wide range of games and manual activities in an eco-responsible spirit to raise children's awareness from an early age, such as discovering the flora and fauna or artistic creation workshops using wood and recycled products... Children will enjoy sporting activities and preparing shows for guaranteed holiday memories! For the little ones, there are children's and parents' activities in the afternoon, including face painting and a treasure hunt.
Teenagers' Club (aged 13 to 17): Open in summer only from 06/07 to 28/08. Juniors can make new friends during one of the organised evenings, a swimming pool activity or a sports tournament!
And don't forget the many summer events in Arès and the surrounding area: evening shows, night markets, fireworks displays, sports tournaments, etc. Reception will be able to tell you more about these events.

There are plenty of activities on site to suit everyone's tastes: a boules pitch in the shade of the pines for lively games of pétanque with friends, a multi-sports pitch for ball fans, table tennis tables (equipment available on loan) and outdoor fitness equipment. Children will not be left out either, with a bouncy castle, a play area and the possibility of a pony ride when the weather is fine (extra charge).
The campsite is the ideal base for exploring the region, with footpaths and cycle paths nearby.

Oyster port of Arès (3 km or 7 min) : The best way to get to know a region is to start with its gastronomy! Take the time to stop off at one of the huts in the oyster port of Arès to fill up on iodised vitamins: oysters, whelks and other shellfish on the menu. All accompanied by a glass of white wine to keep with tradition! On Thursday evenings in summer, you can catch up with local artists exhibiting their work.
The Prés salés reserve (8 km, 13 minutes): This 330-hectare nature reserve is a firm favourite with local residents, whether for a stroll or a jog for the more sporty. It is home to no fewer than 250 plant species, 170 bird species and 11 species of fish. And let's not forget the local stars: the European otter, cistude tortoises and other lizards scurrying through the grass.
Saint-Brice nature reserve (3 km, 9 minutes): A natural boundary between the towns of Arès and Andernos-les-Bains, this bubble of nature is sure to please walkers. You should allow 1? hours for the walk to take in the many different landscapes: ponds, coastal paths and forests.
The Bassin d'Arcachon: Considered a natural marine park, the Bassin d'Arcachon guarantees a complete change of scenery. Discover it by bike or boat with the many fishermen and oyster farmers who will show you their trade. Continue your excursion to the Dune du Pyla, the largest dune in Europe, to enjoy a beautiful sunset, emotions guaranteed at the top!
Bird Island: What could be more mysterious and magical than Bird Island? With its mythical tchanquées huts and the multitude of migratory birds that live there, it will enchant you with its magic and the friendliness of its locals. And as Pascal Obispo once sang, you're sure to "fall for it (l'île aux oiseaux)".
Cap Ferret lighthouse (13 km, 20 mins): A 6km walk along the ocean dunes, the lighthouse stands at the tip of the cape, built in 1947 and standing 53m high. It watches over the peninsula, which is bordered on one side by the ocean and on the other by the Arcachon basin.
Bordeaux (60 km): Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, Bordeaux will win you over with its exceptional 18th-century architectural heritage, its 363 listed monuments, its gardens, its illuminated squares and its quays... an absolutely magnificent city.
Saint-Emilion (100 km): Nestling in the vineyards of the Bordeaux region, discover this incredible medieval town brimming with hidden treasures. Relax on one of the terraces in the main square and enjoy a grand cru wine with macaroons!

Whether you’re feeling peckish or ravenous, the brasserie “LA PAILLOTE DES GOELANDS” will be open every day in July and August, for lunch and dinner (8.00–15.00 and 18.00–midnight), offering takeaway or eat-in meals, as well as refreshments. Not forgetting the unmissable little ice cream for the little ones’ afternoon snack!
In the low season, catering will be available depending on visitor numbers, with opening hours displayed on site.
Also, “LO’RA PIZZA” will treat you to its pizzas every weekend, exclusively in the evenings from 1 April to 31 October, and seven days a week in July and August.
Open only in July and August, a small grocery corner offers essential items to tide you over, such as drinks, food and more. In the low season, you can order bread and pastries (book the day before for the following day at the restaurant; details available on site).
From 6 July to 24 August, there is a night market every Monday.
Barbecue: Not available for hire. Use the barbecue areas provided on the campsite (bring a grill and charcoal). Personal BBQs/planchas are not permitted.
