Camping Le Brabois ^★★★

The pool was too cold; not enough evening entertainment. We really appreciated the peace and quiet at the end of the month.

So, in my accommodation, the shower drain hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet seat hadn’t been cleaned. The manager wasn’t smiling at all; even during a blind test evening, he was on his computer with his headphones on – he didn’t engage with me and didn’t smile. The same goes for the lady behind the reception desk, who comes to reception without saying hello or even smiling. The photos in the campsite description are misleading, as the accommodation was smaller, the swimming pool was smaller, and there were no inflatable play structures as shown in the photos of the rental. In my holiday let, I was allowed to check out until 11.00, but apparently the check-out time is 10.00, as the receptionist told me. And I was made to complete a check-out inventory, even though I hadn’t been given a check-in inventory or signed any documents. Fortunately, the young man at reception was very pleasant, the activity leader was brilliant, and the two people serving at the snack bar were very friendly.

They’re working hard to really spruce up the campsite – brilliant! The toilet block in the middle is being renovated!

A quiet and peaceful campsite with plenty of trees. Convenient due to its proximity to the centre of Nancy. Friendly staff. A versatile manager who is very attentive to guests’ needs. Areas for improvement: expand the swimming pool area and its terrace, as well as the boules court. The water pressure in the mobile home is too low (requiring fine-tuning of the water heater to get warm water in the shower). The gate control unit/keypad (entry and exit) is not illuminated and is unreliable (sometimes you have to enter the code several times whilst holding it with both hands).

The toilet block wasn’t finished and wasn’t clean. The toilet roll holders were also faulty. The water taps on the campsite weren’t working either. The restaurant was good value for money.
