Camping Wedderbergen is a friendly family campsite located in the most wooded and southern part of Groningen. A beautiful environment for hiking, fishing, beautiful cycling trips from the campsite.
Facilities Camping Wedderbergen
At the campsite you can relax in the beautiful covered and heated swimming pool with separate toddlers' pool, rapid, whirlpool and large slide. The campsite also has its own natural swimming pool surrounded by a sandy beach. The water is gently sloping so that even the youngest children can play safely. The campsite also has a courtyard with play equipment, trampolines, a beach volleyball court and a multi-player field where you can play football, hockey, etc. You can get your daily groceries in the supermarket and if you don't feel like cooking, you can visit the cosy pub. You can also rent bikes and go-karts at the park to explore the beautiful surroundings. The largest water playground in the Netherlands is currently under construction, including a heated outdoor pool and fountain park! Camping Wedderbergen now has bicycles for hire. There are children's bikes, bikes with gears and go-karts for rent. You can also rent a canoe to explore the surroundings.
Children's facilities at Camping Wedderbergen
During the school holidays and all other weekends between 1 April and 1 October, there is a great entertainment programme including teenage entertainment. Children and teenagers have fun in the indoor play hall: in addition to a large playground, soft play area, air hockey and table tennis, there is also free wifi. The brand-new play paradise is designed for children up to 12 years old and opens in early April '24! Children will never have to be bored (during the rain); this play paradise with its many slides, trampoline zones, toddler zone, power tower and climbing volcano guarantees hours of fun!

The campsite has a cosy pub. The campsite supermarket is open 7 days a week. Here you will find all daily groceries including fresh rolls. Fancy a barbecue? You can also book a complete barbecue at the campsite supermarket!
The surrounding area of Camping Wedderbergen
The area around Camping Wedderbergen is perfect for exploring. The surroundings are characterised by a variety of landscapes. At reception, you can obtain cycle routes to discover these beautiful landscapes. Germany is just a stone's throw away from Wedderbergen, so be sure to visit its eastern neighbours! For example, go to Papenburg, a nice town with a special shipyard where huge cruise ships are built. The German Wadden Sea island of Borkum is also well worth a visit. Camping Wedderbergen is also a good base for a day trip to Dinopark Tenaxx, fortress town Bourtange and Groningen or Assen.
