Several restaurants in the central area of the park cater for your culinary needs. The Central Garden is a cosy meeting place for coffee, cake or a light lunch and invites you to linger and relax. The Beach House offers an à la carte restaurant right on the waterfront, where you are welcome for coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner. There is also The Grill Company, a steakhouse with a special concept: each table is equipped with its own grill so that you can prepare your own breakfast or dinner. Typical Dutch snacks such as frikandel or bitterballen can be found at the snack bar - ideal for a quick meal in between. If you prefer to dine in your own holiday home, you can use the practical delivery service or buy fresh ingredients and products in the well-stocked supermarket.
Surroundings Center Parcs Parc Sandur
The Drenthe region is known for its unspoilt nature, historical sights and family-friendly excursion destinations. De Grote Rietplas lake right next to the park is ideal for water sports activities. In addition to canoeing and fishing, the surrounding area offers numerous cycling and hiking trails that lead through forests, meadows and along small canals.
For culture lovers, the prehistoric megalithic tombs, the so-called Hunebedden, are a particular highlight. These millennia-old stone formations are among the oldest structures in the Netherlands and are explained in detail in several museums in the region.
Just a few kilometres from the park is the town of Emmen, which is home to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo, one of the biggest attractions in the region. Aqua Mundo
For guests staying at the holiday park, unlimited entry to Aqua Mundo is included in the stay - both on the day of arrival from 10:00 and on the day of departure after 10:00. There are family changing rooms with changing mats. Valuables can be stored in a locker. Life jackets, baby boxes and even a microwave for warming bottles are available especially for babies/toddlers. You can bring your own food or enjoy snacks in the café. Aqua Mundo is wheelchair accessible. Children under the age of 13 may only enter the Aqua Mundo (or Aqua Garden) if accompanied by an adult. Parents and/or accompanying adults must ensure that children who cannot swim wear buoyancy aids and/or a life jacket. An adult must be in the immediate vicinity at all times.
