EuroParcs Recreatiepark De Woudhoeve has a lake with a sandy beach and a heated outdoor swimming pool. Here you can swim laps or throw a ball around. Play table tennis on the table tennis table or use the sports field/volleyball court. Play a game on the boules court.

In Egmond aan den Hoef, the ruins of Kasteel op den Hoef and the Slotkapel church are beautiful to see. About 4 kilometres from Egmond aan den Hoef is the well-known seaside resort of Egmond aan Zee. Here you can shop in one of the pretty boutiques or take a stroll along the beach and enjoy a terrace. It's also great to ride a horse on the beach and feel the wind in your hair. If you are in Egmond aan Zee, you should visit the national monument Egmond Lighthouse J.C.J. van Speijk. Would you like to find out more about the history of Egmond? Then visit the Museum van Egmond. The museum has a treasure hunt game for children. A little more action? Practise a water sport on the beach or go to the Flamingo Casino and try your luck. Take a look at the village of Bergen, known for its art and culture. A visit to Schoorl with its quiet beaches and beautiful forests and dunes is also worthwhile. The Kaasmarkt (cheese market) takes place in Alkmaar between 6 April and 7 September.
