Surrounded by heath and forest, the Veluwe is pure enjoyment. At Heidepark Veluwschkaracter, various play equipment is available to keep the children entertained. There is also an air trampoline if they need to expend a little more energy. It is possible to rent various types of bicycles during your stay, as long as you inform the reception 1 day in advance.

There are endless walking and cycling routes across the beautiful Veluwe. Still not seen enough nature? Then visit one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Netherlands: Heementuin de Heimanshof. Also around the park and Vierhouten itself there are many cultural stories to discover from the Second World War. Apart from this, there is also a possibility to plan an adventurous day out. Visit Paleis het Loo or Hanseatic Cities, for example. For the kids, it might be more fun to spend a day at Klimbos Ermelo. This climbing forest has more than 80 different obstacles and zipline courses. There is also entertainment for the little ones with a climbing course between 1.00m and 1.30m. Rather not exert yourself and just walk around? Visit the Apenheul with over 300 monkeys in a beautiful green park! The Apenheul has various shows and activities throughout the day to make it something more exciting.
