Facilities Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort

A holiday is, of course, all about lots of water fun. That's why this holiday park has two heated outdoor swimming pools where young and old won't be bored for a moment. While you enjoy the sunshine, the children can have fun on the slides. There is also a varied entertainment programme during high season, including performances, nature walks and various workshops. Water sports such as fishing, kayaking, sailing and surfing are also available. You can ask for more information about this at reception.

Children's facilities Compass Camping Nieuwpoort

During high season, a children's entertainment team is also present daily at the holiday park. They create a place where children can make new friends. But they also take them on exciting adventures and a sports programme with fun competitions is organised. Of course, the kids can also choose to have a nice swim or, if the weather is bad, play in the indoor playground.

Surroundings Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort

The surroundings of the holiday park are naturally characterised by everything you expect from the coast: beach, sea, dunes and a dyke. Ideal for long walking and cycling trips. Rent a bike at the park and go out for a day in the area. Are you staying a bit longer? Then take a nice city trip to, for example, Bruges (45 km). In addition, Plopsaland is not far from the park. Positive experience:
Nice location, neat park, both rental chalets and camping pitches, amenities central to the park. Plenty of activities, nice playgrounds and swimming pool.

Improvements:
That you can only enter your accommodation from 4pm day of arrival and on departure before 10am.
It is cleaned with an equipe of enough staff, surely a solution could be found to pass on to reception that it is already free. With the technology currently in place.
I had a problem with the fridge door, reported to reception on arrival, they were definitely going to sort this out, we had agreed to meet the day after in the nm. , I did expect that they would send a message or phone call, that it was not possible that day. I went back to the reception the next day to let them know.
Surely the cleaning team can report this when it is being cleaned and pass it on if something is wrong?

Positive experience:
Well located and nice layout, not too big not too small, bed linen included (super top)

Points for improvement:
The Häiser are less well insulated, so ventilation is unavoidable on warm days. However, this is difficult. Due to the surrounding hedges etc. there are countless mosquitoes. You can hardly air the room without running the risk of having an indoor biotope afterwards. Mosquito screens on just one window would help. We therefore go home a little earlier and take 10-15 mosquito bites per person with us.
