The grandchildren really enjoyed playing football and basketball with other children from the campsite. They really liked the bouncy castles and smoutebollen on Saturday. The bike rental on site is a big plus and the late check-out on Sunday is very pleasant.

Children can romp around in the adventure playground and the water playground. If the sun is not shining, they can go to the indoor playground with its numerous toys. Thanks to its central location, Westende is an ideal base for trips to museums and attractions and various villages, and via the dune path the beach is also within reach. Visit Veurne, for example, where the 17th century still lives on. Beautiful historical buildings such as the town hall, the Vleeshalle and the Spanish Pavilion show this well. Head to the famous seaside resort of Ostend, 15 kilometres to the north. Stroll through the cosy shopping streets and enjoy delicious fresh fish on the Vistrap. Visit the Butterfly Garden in Veurne where you will see a colourful collection of butterflies. In Ypres you will find Museum In Flanders Fields, an interesting interactive museum about the First World War. Want to know all about marine life?
