Landal Hof Domburg

Since the swimming pool isn’t open either in the off-season, they could at least make the mini-golf course free!

The catering was a let-down. The pizzeria was even completely closed. The distance from the car to the safari tent wasn’t specified, which (due to an injury) was quite a disappointment. Carrying the luggage across the grass to the end of the row of tents was quite a long way to walk rather than roll it… The sofa cushions were completely flattened and the mattresses weren’t comfortable – you could feel the springs and there were dips… All in all, a bit of a let-down.

We spent a week’s holiday at this Landal park. One positive aspect worth highlighting is that the site is easy to find and well signposted. Unfortunately, however, there were a few issues that significantly marred our stay. Communication at reception was particularly disappointing. Although a large proportion of the guests are from Germany, it was practically impossible to communicate in German. This made communication very difficult at times. Another major point of criticism is the accessibility of the chalets. We were not allowed to drive right up to the chalet to load and unload our car. All our luggage had to be carried over a considerable distance. This is extremely inconvenient, particularly for a longer stay. In our opinion, the distance to the beach was also not adequately indicated online. The actual distance was considerably greater than the map suggested. Had we not had bicycles with us, the walk to the beach would have been very long and arduous. On top of that, the floor in the chalet was very dirty when we arrived. It did not give the impression of having been thoroughly cleaned. Furthermore, we are still waiting for the promised price reduction because the swimming pool was unusable, but perhaps this will take a while, as we have not yet seen any reduction in the price.//Due to a fire in the wellness area at Roompot Hof Domburg, the swimming pool, the bowling alley and the De Parel wellness area at this park are closed. For this reason, the price for your stay has been reduced// Overall, therefore, the stay did not meet our expectations. Under these circumstances, we would not book this park again in future.

Everything was exactly as described. The location was ideal for us. The beach and the village were within walking distance. Any requests were dealt with straight away.

A lovely park within walking distance of the sea and the town centre. The house is in need of some maintenance – particularly a lick of paint – and the décor could do with a bit more character. And the swimming pool, which looks rather neglected, lacks any charm. Please knock it down.
