Facilities at Landal Hunzepark

You’ll never be bored during your stay at Landal Hunzepark. Hire a bike and discover the natural surroundings of the Drentse Aa, take a dip in the swimming pool or cast your line in the fishing pond. Fancy a picnic or a walk with the children? The park has a launderette. On warm summer days, you can also hire a canoe.

Landal Hunzepark is situated in the Drenthe countryside, near the River Drentse Aa. This vast nature reserve is ideal for walks or cycle rides. Emmen Zoo is just 30 kilometres away and offers a day full of fun. De Juffer windmill in Gasselternijveen is also well worth a visit.

Outdoor swimming pool

The outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-May to mid-September, although this may be subject to change depending on the weather. When the pool is closed (from mid-September to mid-May), guests can use the swimming pool at Hunzedal Holiday Park (a 15-minute drive away).

Facilities temporarily closed

The facilities are closed every year from the last weekend in October until a week before Easter. During this period, only the reception is open on Mondays and Fridays.

Up to 3 properties in 1 booking

A maximum of 3 properties can be booked in a single booking. It is possible to book more than 3 properties in a single booking.

Booking multiple properties

Group deposits

Fireworks policy

In the Netherlands, private fireworks are banned and you are not permitted to set off any kind of fireworks. The park does not carry out checks, so we cannot guarantee a completely quiet and fireworks-free night. The region is home to the traditional ‘carbide shooting’ festival, a New Year’s Eve tradition that is also listed as intangible cultural heritage. It is also possible that fireworks may be set off in the immediate vicinity of the park.

The accommodation was very dirty on arrival and the shower drain wouldn’t clear.
The campsite had a swimming pool for the kids and you could hire things like pedalos, stand-up paddleboards or canoes, but that was about it.

'- The location of the cottage (219) is really bad. A black metal wall right in front of you. On both other sides, the bushes are too tall and block the view a bit.
- It’s a nuisance that you can’t get to the cottage by car, not even just to load and unload.
- A right faff with those trolleys. Having to fetch the key and bring it back. Not enough trolleys. The key went missing. What a faff.
- The spot where you had to park the car was very unfortunate. Far too many overhanging tree branches scraping against the car. They need to be pruned much more regularly and thinned out.
- In the cottage, the drain in the washbasin in the toilet/shower wasn’t working properly.

Beautiful park and cottage by the water. Geese swim there and make noises did not bother themselves. In fine weather, breakfast outside in the sun in the morning. Beautiful surroundings for cycling
