Positive experience:
It is very quiet. Easy to find. It takes a maximum of 30 minutes by car to get to larger towns. It feels like everything can be reached by boat. The park is clean and well maintained.
Points for improvement:
The dog area is very small. A fenced-in area where the dogs could run and play would be nicer. But, there is a place with rubbish bins and mostly poo bags. Also only a small minus.

Waterpark Belterwiede certainly lives up to its name. The park is surrounded by beautiful waterways. How about exploring the waterways in and around Giethoorn by boat? Giethoorn is known as the ‘Venice of the Netherlands’ with all its waterways, bridges and gondolas. Or enjoy lovely cycling and walking tours along reed beds and waterways. You can hire bikes at the holiday park. Belterwiede Water Park is situated in the heart of the beautiful De Wieden nature reserve, which merges into the Weerribben nature reserve in the Kop van Overijssel.
