This holiday park is located between the pretty village of Valloire and the ski lifts, opposite Mont Gallibier, 10 to 200 metres from the slopes in the southern part of the Northern Alps. The village of Valloire still has the authentic atmosphere of Savoy with a Baroque church from the 17th century in the centre. The holiday flats are built from a combination of wood and stones from the region. You will find a semi-covered swimming pool, a laundry room, covered parking (on reservation, limited spaces!), a ski storage room, a sauna and a hot tub. The swimming pool is free for guests of the holiday park and the sauna and hot tub can be visited for a fee by reservation. Bed linen is included in the rental price. For an additional charge, you can book a towel set, a baby kit and final cleaning. You can pay for this on site. Pets are allowed if booked, in possession of a valid vaccination certificate and leashed for a fee. For 70 years, this has been a winter sports destination very suitable for families. You will find a very nice ski area between 1430 and 2600 metres of altitude with all kinds of activities for young and old.
Besides skiing, the sporting activities you can do here include fitness in the centre Le Val' Form, hiking on special snowshoes, skating on a 1500 m2 ice rink, ultra-light flying and paragliding. You can also visit the baroque church during the day or visit farms in the area. There is also a cultural centre with a cinema, a library and exhibitions are held here. For evening fun, there are bars with entertainment, discotheques, bowling (even disco bowling), billiards and a cinema. Snow activities include alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, carving, free ride, free styling and hiking on special snowshoes. There are around 100 instructors who also speak English. The Galibier Thabor ski area (Valloire-Valmeinier) can range in altitude from 1430 to 2600 metres, 70% of which is above 2000 metres. It has a total length of 150 km of slopes, more than 400 snow cannons, 33 ultra-modern ski lifts, 2 international ski runs (Super G and downhill), a snow park and many opportunities for off-piste skiing. There is a babysitting centre for children aged 6 months to 6 years. And there is an opportunity to take ski lessons at the ski school for children from 3 years old. In the school holidays, there are many more opportunities with kids' clubs, snowboarding and torchlight tours. From Utrecht, it is about 1100 km.
