In the summer months, for example, you can sunbathe on the sandy beach along the recreational lake. While you work on your summer tan, the children can have fun building sandcastles. After an active day in the park or a refreshing swim, our brasserie invites you to relax. Here you can enjoy tasty snacks and refreshing drinks in a cosy atmosphere. The snack bar is also available for a snack in between. Outside the park, there are also numerous restaurants and cafés to suit every taste in the nearby towns.
Surroundings of Recreatiepark de Tien Heugten
The surroundings of this park also leave nothing to be desired. Thanks to its central location, you can walk in all directions of Drenthe and there is plenty to see. Are you a real nature lover? Then combine a nice bike ride with a visit to a typical Drenthe village. If you prefer to discover culture or history, there are many museums in the neighbourhood. For example, visit the Hunebedcentrum, the prison museum or experience Kamp Westerbork. If you want to have more fun, the small amusement park Drouwenerzand is highly recommended. For a day of shopping, visit Assen, Emmen or Groningen.

The outdoor swimming pool is closed from 2 September to 15 June. The Eat Café and mini-golf is closed in the post-season.
