Auni and Altti Syrjänen's family-run park offers comfortable year-round accommodation in a newly built country hotel as well as in rustic, cosy flats and cottages. Nestled in Finnish nature, surrounded by forest and the clear Valkeisjärvi lake, Valkeisen Loma is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday with an authentic farm character.
Valkeisen Loma facilities
Valkeisen Loma Holiday Park offers various types of accommodation - from country hotels to traditionally furnished holiday homes and flats. The park offers several traditional Finnish saunas, including a smoke sauna, a lakeside sauna right by the lake and an indoor sauna by the restaurant, which you can also book if you are interested. A hot tub is also available for a fee. The forests, meadows and lake surrounding the park are perfect for outdoor activities. You can go cycling, rowing or swimming in the lake - and the rowing boats and kayaks are available to you free of charge. You can also hire bikes directly on site to actively explore the surrounding area.
Facilities for children at Valkeisen Loma
Valkeisen Loma is a real experience for children. The park is home to friendly animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, a horse, a pony and reindeer. A visit to the reindeer park is particularly popular, where families can meet and feed the animals or take part in a guided walk with the reindeer. These experiences can be booked directly via the park's website during your stay.
Restaurant Valkeisen Loma
The Tallin Vintti restaurant, which serves Finnish cuisine in a cosy atmosphere, is located directly on the premises. Here you can enjoy homemade dishes and baked goods - many with ingredients from the region. Breakfast is served in summer and is available on request during the rest of the year. The restaurant can also be booked for groups or celebrations.
Surroundings Valkeisen Loma
Just ten minutes away is the popular Ähtäri Zoo with its Nordic animal species, including the famous pandas. A golf course, small local craft workshops and idyllic picnic spots are also within easy reach. In winter, the region transforms into a quiet snowy paradise - perfect for walking, ice fishing or simply enjoying the tranquillity of Finland.
