Buitenplaats De Mechelenhof is located in the centre of the Geul valley in South Limburg. The area is one of the two 5-star awarded landscapes in the Netherlands and was voted the most beautiful hiking area in the country by the Dutch. The 5 stars were awarded by the Nature and Environment Foundation. Nature offers you beautiful rolling hills, romantic stream valleys and breathtaking views. The area is ideal for short and long, but particularly beautiful walks, cycle tours and car journeys. Thanks to its central location in the Geul valley, cities such as Maastricht, Valkenburg, Vaals, Liège and Aachen are also within easy reach. A visit to the border triangle in Vaals is definitely worthwhile. You can also play golf on one of the golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the park. At Buitenplaats De Mechelerhof you can fill your time in every conceivable way. You can visit villages, walk and cycle through the beautiful countryside and take a boat trip on the Meuse. You can also visit the neighbouring countries of Germany and Belgium. For example, discover the German Eiffel region or enjoy an active day in the Belgian Ardennes. Important information
Please note that pets are charged €7 per night (€7.50 in 2025), per pet. There is also a surcharge of €14 for final cleaning when bringing a pet.
Security deposit
A deposit of €150 may be requested on arrival. In that case, we ask you to pay this deposit via pin or in cash at reception. When the house is left as it should be, the (remaining) amount will be refunded to your account within 3 weeks.

For preferences such as the location of your accommodation, please contact the provider. The preference fee for this park is €27.50.
Booking multiple accommodation
Reservations with multiple accommodations are not guaranteed until you receive an invoice from the park.
Business stays
It is not allowed to make bookings other than for recreational purposes. Bookings made by companies will be refused entry to the holiday park on arrival.
Short stay supplement
If you book a stay for 2 nights, a short stay surcharge of €50.00 will be charged for 2024 and from 2025 €55.00 . You will find this surcharge on the park's invoice. The park adds this surcharge after receiving the booking.
