La Brande campsite is open from April 8 to November 6. It is just 2.5 km from the Château d'Oléron and only 300m from the beach. Tailor-made services are offered for unforgettable family vacations.
For your aquatic leisure activities, the establishment puts its covered and heated swimming pool at 29 degrees and its large slide of 42m at your disposal. The pool is open from late March to early November. The slide is accessible from June 1st to September 30th. The little ones will be delighted to have fun on the paddling pool installed not far from there, while the older ones will enjoy a moment of relaxation in the sauna area.
For the more active, the campsite offers a multi-sports field where you will find a basketball, soccer and volleyball court. Fans of ping-pong and mini-golf will have the privilege to participate in tournaments organized by the staff. Archery lessons are also offered at the same time. Throughout the stay, children can join the various clubs or participate in other free activities offered by the camp's staff. Outside of La Brande, vacationers can go on bike rides, canoeing or unusual nature outings. And during the summer season, many animated evenings within the campsite are to be discovered. In short, you will be pampered throughout your stay.

Good campsite

This is a lovely campsite and very family friendly. The pitches were good sizes, especially the ones towards the back of the campsite. The pool was excellent with sprinkler toys for little children as well as a small pool. The water slide and main pool was good for older kids and adults. It was also... partly covered which provided shade from the sun which was good but also could be pulled all the way across if it rained.
The shower block was good and had good facilities for bathing your children. However, the water was quite often cold at the end of the day which was not nice.
The campsite did have late entertainment going on a couple nights which was far too loud. It didn't actually go quiet till 1am which was far too late.
The campsite appears to have a lot of families that return each year and who all know each other. They would take it in turns to meet at each others tents near us and there would be a group of maybe 30 people. So it was very noisy. It also felt very cliquey and like we were the outsiders there.
But overall it was a nice campsite and well maintained and I would go back again.

Overall we had a good stay. The staff were friendly and reception staff spoke good english. Animations were only in french. Pitch sizes were excellent, shady with plenty of space for an 8m tent, car and our tables and chairs with space left over. The electric hook up had plenty of power for kettle, hair... dryer etc. The pitch was mostly sandy, which wasnt great as it got everywhere
The pool was great, with kiddie area, shallow end, deep, water fun area and and a decent slide. Though it got a bit overcrowded at times.
The toilet blocks were cleaned regularly, though at quite inconvenient times. Though they needed more attention to detail as certain out of the way areas remained grubby.

Convenient site on a beautiful part of the coast. Nice clean well-organised site. All the facilities you could need and they were tidy and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would use the site again.

Last minute booking to meet up with friends. The site was all that it promised to be and more. Very professionally run and friendly. Close proximity to a wonderful beach around 10 minutes drive away and a good location to tour the island from

We only booked Camping La Brande at the last minute but it was fantastic value and a brilliant find. The site is friendly, clean and the facilities are really good. The restaurant food is excellent and the bar area is a lovely spot for a drink as the sun goes down.
