Camping Vallée de L’Indre is a charming 3-star family campsite situated in the heart of Touraine, just 10 kilometres south of Tours. The site stretches across 10 hectares of wooded grounds right on the banks of the picturesque River Indre. Thanks to its small-scale, welcoming layout and convenient location less than a five-minute walk from the charming village centre of Montbazon, this campsite combines peace and nature with the convenience of shops and outdoor cafés within easy reach.

For active holidaymakers, bike hire is available – including handy child trailers and pushchairs – so you can easily explore the region together. The campsite has a covered and pleasantly heated swimming pool which is open from 1 May until the end of the season. With a constant water temperature of around 29 degrees, you and your children can enjoy a swim, splash about or relax on the sun loungers by the poolside, whatever the weather.
Camping Vallée de L’Indre Restaurant
When it comes to food, you’ll find everything you need at the campsite. In the on-site restaurant, you can sit down for a tasty and affordable meal with the whole family – ideal for evenings when you don’t fancy cooking yourself. Fancy a particularly atmospheric dinner by the water? Just 100 metres from the campsite entrance, you’ll find a traditional French guinguette by the river, where you can enjoy a relaxed meal in an idyllic setting.
Surroundings of Camping Vallée de L’Indre
Its location in the Loire Valley makes this campsite the perfect base for cultural and adventure-filled family outings. Just a 5-minute walk away is the impressive medieval Fort of Montbazon. World-famous châteaux such as Chenonceau and Amboise are also just a short drive away. For an unforgettable day out with the children, it’s about a 45-minute drive to the famous Zoo de Beauval, or you can be at the spectacular Futuroscope theme park within an hour.
