Groenpark Simpelveld

There are still things to do. The park is old and it shows. On the terrace near the cottage, the weeds were high.

On arrival 19.00 leakage, technical service had to convince receptionist that we needed another cottage. Finally 21.30 we were able to enter another cottage. Gone evening...
Especially as I had to sweep the seat behind the cottage myself so we didn't have to sit among the junk. Weeds up to the ankles. Rubbish bag, rubbish next to the house. Window frames too dirty to touch. Cottage smelt musty. Dust everywhere , even in just accessible places. Kitchen wall not clean, under the beds dirty. In the end, no bedding present even though we had booked it.
The locks do not work properly, we went out the back door every day, afraid that the lock of the front door would give way. Same goes for the shower, you didn't dare close that door either.
Next morning to reception for bedding. Not a decent word about yesterday. Yes 'oh your case is known' .
Ok, we didn't feel like having our good mood ruined, we'll get it over with at check-out (Monday 9am open was written everywhere.) Standing there Monday; note on the door, we open 10am.
Key but in the letterbox and screeching tyres away from there.

Furthermore, the park is really not maintained, what a dirty poorly maintained park this is say.

Very nice and quiet park, lots of greenery and very spacious. The cottage we were in (6 person Alpha) was also a fine stay, only point was a broken lamp and a missing leg under a bed. But we will definitely return to this beautiful park.

The restaurant was permanently closed. Otherwise a nice quiet park, beautiful green surroundings. There wasn't much to do for children, but we didn't need that either. The cottage in itself was fine, everything was there but it could have been a bit cleaner. The house had been empty for a while, I think, so there was some dust and the terrace could have used a broom. Despite that, we had a great stay. The surroundings are beautiful!
