Recreatiepark De Scherpenhof is located in the village of Gelderland and borders the wooded Veluwe. You can enjoy yourself to the full at the recreation centre. Go swimming in the indoor pool, enjoy bowling with your family or take part in the recreation programme, which is designed for all ages.

Facilities Recreatiepark De Scherpenhof

At De Scherpenhof Recreation Park, you can make use of many different facilities. For example, play a video game in the arcade, take a dip in the indoor swimming pool, or play pool or billiards on one of the tables. There is also a recreational lake with a sandy beach so everyone can have fun. At the park, it is possible to rent bikes to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Children have a great time in the children's playground, on the trampoline and on the playing fields. They can also enjoy swimming in the outdoor pool and indoor pool with a separate children's pool.

Bicycles can be rented 2 kilometres from the recreation centre, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Veluwe by bike. The recreation park is located in the city triangle of Deventer, Apeldoorn and Zutphen. In Apeldoorn, you can go to the Apenheul, where there are monkeys from Africa, South America and Asia, or to Koningin JulianaToren where your children will have fun with more than 50 attractions. For the daredevils, Walibi World in Dronten is a must, with different types of roller coasters and fun white-water rides. If you fancy a nice walk, take a guided historic city tour through the Hanseatic city of Zutphen. You can also visit the cities of Arnhem and Deventer. Go shopping here, see one of the many sights and then settle down on a terrace.

Security deposit

The park charges a mandatory deposit of €150 per accommodation, via an authorisation form. A deposit of € 250 in cash will be charged for groups of young people.

You get unlimited access to the indoor playground during your stay. However, it is open to a limited extent outside holidays and weekends.

Swimming lake, outdoor pool, accommodation, great playground

Points for improvement:
No real outdoor catering. The park has so much potential for this. Unfortunately, the main buildings and catering facilities are in poor condition. No shade in the outdoor pool and too few sunbathing areas
