Positive experience:
We were there when it was very quiet, which was the best thing about the park, nice atmosphere inside, spacious houses and the location (on the water) and close to Berlin and the Polish border.
Areas for improvement:
Missed the supply of wood for the stove, nowhere to get some, including in the area. Furthermore, people in the village are a bit closed and surly.

The Schlosspark Bad Saarow is idyllically situated on Lake Scharmützelsee, the second largest lake in Brandenburg, and combines relaxed tranquillity with a wide range of leisure activities in the midst of nature. Easily accessible from Berlin and Potsdam, the town is ideal for relaxing short holidays or family time close to nature. Bad Saarow itself is a traditional spa town known for its healing thermal springs, stylish architecture and proximity to nature.
On the shores of Lake Scharmützelsee is the Surf & Fun, where pedal boats, rowing boats, paddle boats and sailing boats as well as motorboats and windsurfing boards can be hired on site!
The castle park is particularly attractive for families: the large playground invites children to climb, run around and play. Thanks to the peaceful, green surroundings, children can have carefree adventures while their parents relax and unwind. The extensive meadows by the lake are also perfect for football matches or outdoor activities together. Little explorers are guaranteed to get their money's worth here!
Even though there is no restaurant directly in the Schlosspark, Bad Saarow is the perfect place to indulge in culinary delights. There are numerous charming restaurants in the surrounding area, offering regional cuisine, fresh ingredients and a stylish ambience. From cosy lakeside cafés to upscale restaurants and family-friendly eateries. This makes a stay in the Schlosspark a culinary delight as well as a scenic one.
The surrounding area offers much more than the park itself: Walks and bike tours along glistening shores, relaxing wellness in the nearby SaarowTherme spa and day trips to Potsdam or Berlin round off your holiday. Lake Scharmützelsee is described as an inspiring place to take a deep breath and enjoy nature.
There is also a wide range of activities on offer around the lake:
a water ski cable car
a club boat for events
the sailing and yacht academy with courses and numerous boats
a fun pool and animal swimming shows
a climbing forest for adventures in the trees
The costs for the use of water, electricity and gas are calculated on the basis of consumption, which must be paid directly at the park (guideline costs: electricity €0.45/Kw/h, water €7.50/m3 and gas €3.00/m3).
For preferences such as the location of your accommodation, please contact the provider.
Reservations with multiple accommodations are not guaranteed until you receive an invoice from the park.
