Waterdorp Burdaard is located directly on the water in the Dutch province of Friesland and consists of modern holiday homes. Facilities at Waterdorp Burdaard
There are not many facilities at the Waterdorp Burdaard holiday park itself, but there is a multifunctional centre (500 metres) with tennis courts, fitness, swimming pool and a playground. You can park your car for free on the grounds of the holiday park. When the weather is nice, you can also cool off in the natural swimming water. You can also fish in the park.
Waterdorp Burdaard catering facilities
Waterdorp Burdaard does not have a restaurant. However, there are several restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood. If you want to cook for yourself in your holiday home, you can buy the ingredients in the supermarket, which is about 700 metres from the site.
Surroundings of Waterdoop Burdaard
Within a 1 km radius of the holiday park you will find several shops, a bar, restaurants, a supermarket, a cash machine, a bakery and the sports facilities. Waterdoop Burdaard is the ideal starting point for trips to Dokkum (10 km), Leeuwarden (20 km) or the West Frisian islands of Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. Just 15 km from the holiday park, in Holwerd, you can take the ferry to the Wadden Islands and be there in about an hour. The area around the holiday park is also ideal for cycling and long walks. The marked routes take you past green meadows, typical Dutch canals, old farms and windmills. Water sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. Hire a boat and go exploring on the water. In Leeuwarden (20 km) you can also visit the AquaZoo or take a trip to the seal centre in Pieterburen (55 km). The beach is 14 km from the park. Read more
