Camping la Claparède enjoys a privileged location in the heart of the Aveyron, just 500 metres from the picturesque village of Saint-Jean-du-Bruel and its shops. Nestling in the verdant, unspoilt setting of the Gorges de la Dourbie, this quiet, family-run establishment offers direct access to the river, a real paradise for lovers of fishing and fresh air. It is the ideal base for exploring the treasures of the region, including the famous Gorges du Tarn, the Larzac plateau and the majestic Millau Viaduct. Please note that the campsite does not have a swimming pool on site, but you can enjoy a supervised river swim 3 km away or an open-air swimming pool 7 km away.
In terms of leisure activities, the campsite focuses on conviviality and simplicity, with free-access facilities for all the family, including a petanque area, table tennis tables and a children's play area. For the peace and quiet of its residents, the campsite does not offer a children's club or daily live entertainment, but its location means there are plenty of opportunities foroutdoor activities in the surrounding area: hiking, mountain biking, caving, canoeing, rafting and even paragliding at Millau. What's more, there are plenty of local events and country markets organised in July and August within a 15 km radius of the campsite to help you discover the heritage of the Templiers.
To ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible, the campsite offers practical, high-quality services. There's a launderette, Wi-Fi access, a car park and a secure shelter for bikes and mountain bikes. Fans of traditional camping will appreciate theservice area for motorhomes and the water and electricity connections (10A) on the pitches. Barbecues are also permitted for convivial meals. Finally, to make your stay easier, pets are welcome.
