The main attraction at Pierre & Vacances La Résidence du Lac is without a doubt the heated outdoor swimming pool, heated to 25° and open between April and November; the perfect place to just chill out underneath the rays of the southern French sun. Of course, there’s fun to be had inside too, whether that’s family competitions around the table football and table tennis tables, or a quick little game on the bowling green. If you want to get out and explore a little bit, then you should definitely rent some bikes from reception. There’s also Wi-fi available at reception so you can have a quick browse online whilst you’re waiting to check in, and there’s a laundrette on site as well, making it possible to clean your clothes whilst you’re here as well.

Pierre & Vacances La Résidence du Lac is located in the French commune of Monflanquin in south-western France, surrounded by luscious flora, greenery and rolling hills. There’s a nice range of activities to take part in throughout the surrounding area, whether that’s having a few games of tennis with the family (200m), or even going rock climbing on a natural site (12km) – something for the real thrill seekers out there. For those out there into water sports, there’s the possibility for canoeing and kayaking down the river Lot (12km). Attractions in the area include the Grotte de Lastournelle (32km), a completely naturally formed cave which is still in use today, and the Bastide de Monflanquin (2.5km), which it’s historical architecture and old-world feel. There’s sure to be some classy boutiques around to purchase a souvenir or two!
