Residence Bray-Dunes Margats is located on the edge of the lively centre of the seaside resort of Bray-Dunes. An extensive and wide sandy beach and the sea are within walking distance. Just a stone's throw away, you will find the first entertainment of terraces, restaurants and shops. But there are also opportunities for nature lovers. An extensive and protected dune reserve begins just 200 metres from the residence. In Bray-Dunes you have the best of the Belgian coast, but with the tranquillity of the northern French coast. As such, it is around 4 km from the seaside resort of De Panne. Plopsaland De Panne is 5 km away. There is plenty to do in the area, both culinary (various restaurants and cosy cafés) and cultural (various museums including the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Dunkerque). You can still find several bunkers and other remnants of World War II. Besides the dune area near the residence, nature lovers can visit the unspoilt dune area De Westhoek. This is a 565-hectare nature reserve between Bray-Dunes and De Panne. Another must is La Dune Marchand, a protected area connecting Bray-Dunes and Dunkirk. Various activities are organised throughout the year in Bray-Dunes. The highlight is the annual folklore festival in the month of July. There is also a giant parade, music festival, horse animation, old-timer exhibition, "bal populaire", sand castle competition and much more. In the small village of Ghyvelde, about 6 minutes from Bray-Dunes is the discovery farm "Le Camelus". Here you will find 40 different types of animals such as llamas, buffaloes, nandu and goats, as well as ostriches, donkeys and rabbits. About 15 km from Bray-Dunes is the town of Coudekerque. Here you will find the golf course "Golf de Dunkerque Grand Littoral". And for sun, sea and beach lovers, you just have to leave the house and within a few steps you have everything at hand.
