Facilities at Landal Esonstad
Landal Esonstad offers a wide range of amenities to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is a reception right in the park where you can get information about excursions and activities. A mini-market ensures that you can easily stock up on groceries and daily necessities. There is a wide range of sporting activities on offer: test your skills on the 18-hole pitch & putt golf course, hire a bike or e-bike and explore the beautiful surroundings. There is also a boat hire service so you can discover the Lauwersmeer directly from the water. There are also various sports fields and even an archery range for plenty of fun.
Landal Esonstad swimming pool
The indoor swimming pool at Landal Esonstad is perfect for water fun at any time of year. It has a separate children's pool where the little ones can splash around to their heart's content. For adults, there is a deeper area where you can relax and swim your laps. The pleasant water temperature and relaxed atmosphere invite you to linger. After swimming, you can relax on the sun loungers at the edge of the pool or enjoy the cosy warmth of the sauna.

Children experience an unforgettable holiday full of adventure at Landal Esonstad. The large adventure playground with climbing frames, slides and swings leaves nothing to be desired. If the weather doesn't play ball, there is an indoor play paradise where the little ones can let off steam. A special highlight is the leisure programme with the Bollo Club, where creative craft sessions, exciting treasure hunts and fun games are on the programme. There is also an entertainment team that provides entertainment and regularly organises various activities such as mini discos and sports competitions.
Restaurant Landal Esonstad
Culinary delights are also catered for at Landal Esonstad. The restaurant in the park serves a selection of regional and international dishes that will delight young and old alike. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, fortify yourself after an active day with a delicious lunch or round off the evening with a cosy dinner. Those who prefer flexibility can use the takeaway service and enjoy their meals in their own accommodation. There is also a snack bar for a snack in between meals.
Surroundings Landal Esonstad
The location directly on the Lauwersmeer lake makes Landal Esonstad an ideal starting point for numerous outdoor activities. Water sports enthusiasts can go sailing, kitesurfing, surfing or take a boat trip. The extensive natural landscapes invite you to go hiking and cycling, while the Lauwersmeer National Park with its fascinating birdlife will delight nature lovers. Another highlight is the proximity to the Wadden Sea island of Schiermonnikoog, which you can reach by ferry. Endless sandy beaches, charming villages and unspoilt nature await you there. If you fancy a stroll through the town, you should visit the historic town of Dokkum, which is a real gem with its winding alleyways, canals and small boutiques.

Pitch & putt course
The pitch and putt course is open from March to November.

Payment within 24 hours
If you make a booking within 42 days of arrival, you have 24 hours to complete the payment. If this is not done, the booking will be cancelled.

Tourist tax

Cancellation
Free cancellation within 7 days is only possible if the booking was made more than 64 days before the start of the trip.
Brasserie de Waegh
Brasserie de Waegh has recently been sold, and the new operators will be renovating the premises. Therefore, the Brasserie will be closed during this period. Update: From 21 January 2026, Eetcafé 't Silt will be open, Wednesday through Sunday each week.
Pool closed over the winter
Due to maintenance work, the pool will be closed from 04 to 08 January 2027
Closures of some facilities in winter
The park shop and the pizzeria will be closed from 4 to 15 January 2027.
Fireworks policy
In the Netherlands, private fireworks are prohibited. This means that setting off any kind of fireworks is forbidden and is monitored by the park. This park is therefore particularly suitable during the festive season for guests with pets or young children who do not like fireworks. The region is home to the traditional ‘carbide shooting’, a New Year’s Eve tradition that is also listed as intangible cultural heritage. We are unable to monitor or influence compliance with the fireworks ban outside the holiday park.
