Roompot Hunzepark is located in the natural Drenthe countryside in the village of Gasselternijveen, with all the amenities you could possibly need. Rent a bike and explore the area or relax completely after a nice walk. After an especially exhausting afternoon, you can always relax in the heated outdoor pool.

Facilities at Roompot Hunzepark
During your stay at Roompot Hunzepark, you won't be bored for a moment. Rent a bike and explore the natural surroundings of the Drenthe Aa, take a dip in the pool, play a game of boules or throw your fishing rod in the fishing pond. Do you fancy a picnic or a nice walk with the children? Then the park also has several playgrounds for the children, catering facilities and a launderette to find. On a hot summer’s day, you can also rent a canoe and take it on the recreational lake. Of course, the park also offers free Wi-Fi.

There are many activities for your children. Take them out swimming, or let them play on the playground and the sports fields. The possibilities are endless!

Restaurants at Roompot Hunzepark
If you fancy a quick snack at the park, then you can always go to the snack bar for fries or ice cream. If not, then there’s a minimarket on site so you can always cook your own delicious meals. Nearby, Assen (20km) has a nice variety of restaurants to choose from, and there will always be something for everyone.

Surroundings of Roompot Hunzepark
Roompot Hunzepark is located in Drenthe, near the River Aa. This vast nature reserve is ideal for a relaxing walking or cycling tour. Emmen Zoo is only 30 kilometres away, and it makes the perfect day trip too, with fun for all the family. In Gasselternijveen (1000m), where the park is located, you can also visit the dolmens in as well as the corn mill, De Juffer. In the opposite direction, Groningen (40km) is just a 35-minute drive away, where you can find a large variety of shops, restaurants and activities to do.

Preferences
For preferences/requests, a surcharge will be applied by the park.
Pets
Pets are allowed in most of the accommodations. When you want to bring a pet with you, a surcharge of €5 per pet, per night will be applied and the final cleaning will be obligatory. If you cannot add a pet to your booking, then all accommodations of this type allowing pets are unfortunately fully booked.
Groups
When you would like to stay at the holiday park with a group, it is necessary to let the park know beforehand. The holiday park can either decline the booking or charge a higher deposit.
Young people
Bookings can only be made by people over 21 years old.
Opening hours facilities
The facilities are closed on weekdays in the low season.
Business related travelers
It is not allowed to make bookings other than for recreational purposes. For business related stays you can contact Roompot Business. Bookings that are still made by companies will be refused entry to the holiday park upon arrival.
Opening period outdoor swimming pool
The outdoor swimming pool is open from 1 May untill 15 September.
Restaurant Closed
Between 02/09/19 and 06/09/19, several groups of students will be staying at Roompot Hunzepark. In the evening they have meetings in the catering area. For this reason, the restaurant will be closed to other guests from 5pm. Please be aware that these meetings can be also noisy, but any noise disruption will try to be kept to a minimum.

Ruim klein schalig Park

Huisjes met veel achterstallig onderhoud. Bij aankomst veel stank uit de spuitbus die in het huisje was gespoten voor frisse geur.Het stonk tevens naar gebakken pannenkoeken.Muren in het huisje vies. Vieze klevende stoelen.Gordijnen uit de rails en zoom eruit. Veel beschadigingen in het hout van het huisje. Zijn mede hierdoor een dag eerder vertrokken.

Op de site staat vermend dat WIFI beschikbaar is. Bij de receptie werd verteld dat op de lokatie die wij hadden gekozen WIFI lastig was en wel eens kon uitvallen. In de praktijk bleek dat er GEEN WIFI beschikbaar was. Wees eerlijk en zet dit dan ook op de site, WIFI beschikbaar m.u.v. de Blokhutten!

To change a booking (e.g. to another date), please contact our Service Desk on +31 23-3024901 (10 cents p/m). Changes are always made upon request and at the discretion of the holiday park. HolidayparkSpecials charges no fees, however, it may be that the park charges an additional fee (depending on the type of change). If the park does charge change fees, the costs will always be discussed with you.

Any booking made can be cancelled using a link provided in the confirmation email. If you no longer have the confirmation email, please contact our Service Desk by calling +31 23-3024901 (10 cents p/m).

Please note: in most cases, the holiday park will charge a cancellation fee, and the amount of this fee will depend on how late you cancel the booking. For this reason, we always recommend cancellation insurance. We also advise you to contact our Service Desk over the phone to discuss whether the booking can be moved to a different date. 

Each holiday park has its own cancellation conditions. In these conditions, it will be stated whether the holiday park will charge a cancellation fee. Cancellation insurance is insurance against financial loss resulting from the cancellation of a booking. HolidayparkSpecials does not offer cancellation insurance at the moment, however you are free to arrange cancellation insurance yourself with an external party.
